YABImpactingCommunities

As a result of being part of the YAB, we were able to fund a project that created entrepreneurial kits for students in inner city schools who are looking to create their own jobs and businesses.

I was able to work to fund a project that taught teens about teen domestic violence, teen dating violence.

I've been able to help students create safe walking and biking paths, so that they can get to school safely.

I was able to fight for and fund a grant that gave emergency preparedness training to teenagers who in turn taught elementary school students how to be prepared in case of a hurricane.

One of my favorite projects we actually funded this past August was one very close to my local area. And that's raising awareness about the decreasing number of honeybees in the area and how that affects the local environment.

I mean, we gave away $5 million. That, in itself, is an amazing feat. But we did it in a way that's going to help people, and help organizations, and help communities grow as a whole. So I just feel like it was a really amazing experience to be able to do that.
