(SPEAKER: Hielly) Originally, I was born in Dominican Republic. I grew up in the Bronx. I love this area because it's very diverse, very cultural. (SPEAKER: Hielly) When I first got the opportunity to be a State Farm team member, I went in with the intentions of becoming a State Farm agent. (Image) Hielly speaks directly to the camera. (SPEAKER: Hielly) So, the development started from day one. I knew my why from the first day I picked up the phone in an agentÕs office. (Image) Hielly is parked outside his office and steps out of a red Jeep branded with the State Farm logo and his contact information. (SPEAKER: Hielly) I knew that if I put in the work, I could develop and eventually become a State Farm agent. (Image) Hielly walks into the office. (SPEAKER: Hielly) So, going into my 11th year as an agent, one of my main focuses as an agent is developing my team members. (Image) Hielly is seated with another employee at her desk as they both point to her computer screen. So, a lot of what I do is a lot of the development of the team. Comes to training, making sure that we focus on the culture, the atmosphere of the agency. So, in the last 11 years I've had six members who have become successful agents. (Image) Hielly is seated with a customer at an employeeÕs desk. He stands up to walk away. (SPEAKER: Hielly, voiceover) One of the things my father was focused on is making sure we always give back. So, we always grew up with a very giving attitude. (SPEAKER: Employee) Oh, bullseye. (Image) Hielly interacts with community members in the office, playing ping-pong in a conference room and giving a presentation to community members in another conference room. The camera cuts to various members of the community listening to Hielly and smiling. (SPEAKER: Hielly) Being part of the community is very important to me. So, I wanted to have a space where I could share with the community. A place where I could have workshops. A place where I could have financial literacy, workshops specifically. We've opened our doors to local nonprofits. State Farm has given me the opportunity to be in a position where I could give back and help other people that were in my position 10 years ago.
