A man talks into a cell phone while he inspects
a broken rim on his tire. A piece of the rim lies 
on the ground next to his vehicle. It is winter and
a dusting of snow is visible on the ground.

Finally got me, Ben.

his office.

What's that, Rick?

Rick stands on a city street and points to a huge 
pothole in the road. Image switches to show old
black and white footage of the same street. A 1930s 
car is seen driving down the street in the footage 
and hitting the same pothole in the road. A grandfather
clock falls from the vehicle and breaks on the ground. 
Image switches again to a car from the 1950s driving down 
the road and hitting the same pothole. A woman who was 
putting on makeup in the vehicles smears lipstick all over 
her cheek. Image switches a third time to show 
a van from the 1960s also hitting the same pothole. 
A woman in the van drops the sandwich she is 
eating on impact. Image switches a fourth time to 
a man in the 1990s driving down the same road. His car hits 
the same pothole and he splashes coffee all over himself.

The Clark Street Crater. The mother of all potholes. 
For decades, it's tormented the people of this town. 
They tried to fill it, but it always returns. Got me good.
